Students enrolled in Grade 12 courses MUST write the exams.
All exams scheduled in the D and E blocks MUST be written by all students
registered in those courses.
Students in Grade 9 MUST write English and Math exams, but could be exempt
from writing Science or Social Studies if they meet the criteria for
accreditation.
Early morning exams begin at 8:00
am and afternoon exams begin at 12 (noon). Exams are usually two hours in
length. With the exception of NS exams, students may leave after 9:00 am
or 1:00 pm if they are finished. Once a student leaves an exam, they must
exit the building or report to the Supervised Study Room #129. The
Supervised Study room will be available from 9:00-11:15 am and 12:00 noon-2:00
pm. Parents/guardians are responsible for finding transportation for their
child/ward if students wish to leave school upon finishing an exam. Please note
that buses will only be running at regular times (in the morning and end of day
due to regular classes for Grades 7 & 8).
Students are expected to be on
time for exams; however, those who arrive late will be required to pass in the
exam at the end of the examination period as extra time will not be allotted.
If you are not coming to write an
exam you are scheduled for, please call the school at 875-4900 and let us know.
Students are required to write
all exams on the scheduled day. If a student is absent for an exam, they
must submit a valid medical excusesigned by a doctor to the office prior to exam
make-up day (Friday, January 27th at 12:00 noon).
Cheating during an exam will result in a mark of zero with no
opportunity for a re-write.
